Beyond Simple Variable Data Merging
While standard variable data merge utilities exist out of the box in graphic software, they are fragile and limited: they fail on complex multi-line overflows, require tedious manual bounding-box setup, cannot sanitize incoming customer data, and do not handle pre-press validation or downstream CNC toolpathing.
To solve this for an entire production department, I developed an extensive, modular VBA automation library centered around a comprehensive UserForm pre-press cockpit.
